Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

EXT — Faceit Intelligence ("the Extension") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it's used, and what we don't do with it.

What we collect

The Extension only collects the minimum data needed for its features to work:

The Extension does NOT collect your email address, IP address (beyond standard HTTP request logs), browsing history, financial information, location, or any personally identifiable information beyond your public Faceit nickname.

How we use the data

Collected data is used exclusively to:

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. The Extension communicates with two servers:

Your comments are public

When you post a comment on another player, your Faceit nickname is visible to any user of the Extension viewing that player's profile. Do not post information you wish to keep private.

Data retention

Comments persist on our server until you delete them manually through the Extension. User activity data (for "EXT User" detection) is kept for 30 days since last activity, then automatically purged.

Your rights

You can:

Security

Communication with our backend uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser and expire after 30 days of inactivity. We do not store passwords — authentication is done via your Faceit session cookie on faceit.com.

Open source practices

The Extension operates transparently: all code runs on your machine and can be inspected via Chrome's Developer Tools. It does not obfuscate or hide its behavior.

Not affiliated with Faceit

EXT is an independent third-party extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Faceit, Valve Corporation, or the Counter-Strike franchise.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
